We had these yesterday (at Mom's) and today at home. It took me more like 10 minutes to get them tender, but wow, they were really good.
Did you know that brussell srpouts grow on stalks? I didn't until yesterday when I saw them at Trader Joes. They were quite beautiful actually. I large stalk with over 60 spouts on it was only $2.99. I couldn't resist, and I'm glad that I couldn't! I've never purchased or prepared brussell sprouts myself until yesterday. I'll definitely buy them again.
